A biogas digester is something which i first heard of in an issue of Popular Mechanics magazine. I will scan the article for you guys ( all million of you ) and post it as soon as i get to a scanner. It is this article which ahs inspired my choice of final execution, which is an apealing and humourous flash website that will show people all the options available to them in terms of living "OFF THE GRID". These include Household applications of the following: Solar Power, Windmill power, and the biogas digester. PS please do my polls on the side of the screen!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
bar the complex expalnation and diagram, a biogas digester is basically something which converts your waste ( bathroom waste (uuhhh), organic waste: vegetable and and garden waste ) into methane gas which can be used for cooking (gas stoves and ovens) and also the generation of electricity, the waste from this digester can be used for fertilizer and methane gas burns clean ( very little pollution). It is all good from what I can tell. The company which does this in South Africa is called Agama ( http://www.agama.co.za/). To se the details of the setup and how it works practically look at this pdf: http://www.agama.co.za/dmdocuments/AGAMA_IBS_Oct2007.pdf
PS.
The guy in the picture above seems to have no toilet, but you use one by all means, its his personal choice.
